Singing sensation David Archuleta announces his much-anticipated MY KIND OF CHRISTMAS Tour for the winter of 2011:
The tour kicks off in Westbury, NY on December 1, and concludes in Beaver Creek, CO on December 21.
David’s MY KIND OF CHRISTMAS Tour will feature epic orchestral arrangements of both traditional holiday and familiar classics, as well as an assortment of David’s own, melodic pop favorites. The tour promises to showcase more of David’s unique musicality and vocal prowess that his fans have come to love.
David has also partnered with VIP Nation to offer VIP Packages on his upcoming tour, including meet & greets and exclusive merchandise. All details can be found in the VIP announcement post.

Archuleta released a critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2008. The Murray, Utah native soared to #2 on the Billboard charts, buoyed by his smash single “Crush.” The successful debut was followed up by Christmas from the Heart (2009), and The Other Side of Down (2010).
Most recently David is featured on The Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s holiday album Glad Christmas Tidings (released on September 6, 2011).
The 12-track album includes live recordings from the Choir’s 2010 Christmas concert from Temple Square, a musical spectacle that was seen by more than 80,000 concertgoers last year. The accompanying PBS special, featuring Archuleta and the Choir is scheduled to air across the country this December.
On his next tour, he should come to Spokane, Washington…please…just sayin’…haha =0

I don’t know if you are with David or his booking mgnt. team any hours of the day…but are they’re ANY at all possible ways for a Indiana-Kentucky-Ohio show in the works?
I’m a college student that needs to budget a bunnch. I am possibly even short on my rent this month because of Fall Break.
I realize more so than a lot of fans that this really difficult booking shows–but I need to know soon so I can plan ahead.

Ah, very happy for everyone able to attend a concert, wonderful Christmas gift for anyone! David isn’t coming close enough for me to see him on this tour, unfortunately (unless more dates are added?). What a wonderful tour it will be! In the meantime I am so enjoying the GCT DVD! Absolutely beautiful, David’s performances are stunning!
Well, maybe one day David will do a concert in western Canada, if he does I will be there in a heartbeat and so will a lot of others. :)
We’re flying from Atlanta, GA to see him but only because I had enough frequent flyer miles to cash in for the plane tickets. :) I hope one day he goes to Canada, it is beautiful there.

I know that David’s not very comfortable with self-promotion, but I think it would be helpful if he’d, maybe weekly, tweet about his Xmas tour w/ a ticketmaster link. There seems to be a lot of interest when people become aware, but many aren’t aware there’s a tour.
I agree David needs to do some self-promoting, can’t just sit back and expect the tickets to sell without a lot of promotion. I hope the admins have passed your comment onto David’s team. He definitely needs to tweet weekly with the link as not everyone sees every tweet he sends.
BTW, I LOVE the new color scheme…. it’s so much more classier.

I’m really happy he’s having a tour and all, but it just seems like us fans in Michigan, Ohio and the surrounding states never seem to catch a break when it comes to him performing.
Sure, he’s was schedule in a few of the states before, but it was only one time and never happened again.
I was really looking forward to buying a VIP package if he came to Michigan or at least Northern Ohio.

David,I’m going to your Salt Lake City Christmas concert. I always enjoy it when you sing your cover songs but I would love it if you would sing your own songs while you are on you MKOC Tour. Two songs that I love from your lst album are: Just To Be With You & You Can. Everytime I hear Just To Be With You, I cry. Also, Angels would be another great song for you to sing.

David there is a wonderful Opera House in Claton, N. Y. which would be perfect for this tour. It is near the Canadian Border for those fans. Also near Fort Drum which would be a great show for those Army folks. It is just off Route 81. There are many members at the Fort so I think we could sell out the show. Up 81 from Stroudsburg for the 5th. Just dreaming!!! Anyway I will be in Verona so happy!

I was so thrilled to find out that David was doing a Christmas tour! I thought maybe this would be my chance to see him live. Not so. I don’t understand why he never comes to Missouri. I’ve been a fan for soo long and I’ve never been able to see him live. Saint Louis is a very central location with many venues. We would love to see David in the Midwest!!

Would love to go to a few shows but they are just too far away. Is there any possibility of having one of the shows streamed online? It’s obviously not as good as seeing David live but I would definitely pay for a reliable stream of the show. For most fans in the U.S., Canada and Asia, it would be a great alternative to being at the show. Doesn’t have to be the multi-camera stream like the headache inducing billboardlive show from 2009, just one camera on David and the band and some good audio.
I am really happy to know you are going on tour here in the US once again. I just really wish you could come to Texas and perform here. Coming to Austin or San Antonio would be nice, but Houston or Dallas would definetly work as well. Texans need some of the Archie’s My Kind Of Christmas joy as well :)
I’m also happy for the Christmas tour but also sad that there aren’t any dates near all of us in Texas. Austin would be a great stop since we are in the center of the state. Easy access for a lot of people. We are the “Live Music Capital of the World” and have never had the best live performer, David, perform in our city. David, come to Austin soon.

To David’s management, don’t forget David has fans all over the US; once again he’s going to the same states as his last tours. I’m not able to see him even if he comes to Florida but think about his fans in other places; not only in Utah, CA, NY. Not all David’s fans have the money and the privileges to follow him everywhere he goes and performs or make a personal appearance. Please, bring David closer to our homes. We all love him! Please, consider the other states for his future tours, especially his solo tours. Thank you!

I am so glad David is touring again, and especially for Christmas. (Perfect combo, IMO.) I see that many are listing their hoped for “add-on” cities. I would hope for KC, but I do understand that David can’t be everywhere, all of the time. I may have to enjoy via the Internet this year, but believe me, I will. :)
The rest of the dates will be added soon right? Like, before Friday? Me and some other fans I know need to know if there’s any closer date before we buy tickets to NYC ;)

The closest tour date to me is Pennsylvania! Yeah, that’s still almost a 10 hour drive! No worries, I’d travel just about anywhere to hear you sing!

This is SO exciting! David works so hard for us fans. Trust me, I am going to work hard to get to at least one of the shows. My biggest problem is figuring out which one!!! Are we going to find out about additional dates soon? It makes a huge difference for those of us who need to beg for days off from work. If I have the full schedule I can make a more informed decision :).

I love MY KIND OF CHRISTMAS TOUR – so PERFECT for David!! And I hope there will be more dates too. He has 10 shows up so far of which 3 is in NY and 4 in CA – and Beaver Creek in CO AGAIN – same places as before – some fans must be feeling really really happy and some NOT!! I’m in the NOT category LOL! It’s so hard watching him go to the same places again and then there are places he’s never been to on a solo tour!! COME TO FLORIDA DAVID :) Try something new!!

I know it says there are still tour dates left to be announced, so I really hope north carolina or at least Chicago are yet to be announced. There are so many hardcore dedicated fans in Chicago. I can’t believe it’s not on the list yet. Happy for those who get to see him, but it seems like it’s going to be the same people seeing him over and over. Very disappointing.

Why is the pacific northwest completely left out? Sadz. Have fun, those who can go/ travel to places where the shows are. Guess I’ll have to wait a fourth year to see him live *sigh*
I’m with you – 3 of those venues in Cali are within less than an hour of each other and those of us in the nw (Oregon for me) have to wait yet again, double “sigh”. It does say more dates to be added and there is a week in between PA and CA, so maybe there’s hope. I hate to be negative but I doubt they’ll make it to Oregon. Idaho is the closest he’s come, and that’s still a day’s drive. :(
Yeah! I’m clinging on to that possibility, ha! I live in Washington state and the last time he came was with Demi and I missed it because I was on vacation in Taiwan :( I’m hoping for a Portland, Oregon date if not Seattle since the drive is manageable. Other than that, I can’t afford the time or money to travel! Us NW folks and the SE folks have it pretty bad, lol!
I know it doesn’t snow down here in Texas, but that doesn’t mean we should be forgotten in the winter.
We got skipped on the CFTH tour. Please don’t let it happen again. One of my biggest regrets is missing that tour. I don’t know if I could handle another one.

100% agree about the Texas post! He hasn’t been to where I live in over 2 years and it is a major city! Please please please come back! I have been waiting for tour announcements ever since the Demi Lovato tour! We love David down here <333
I completely agree! I’m in Houston and he hasn’t been here for over 2 years!!! Houston is the 4th largest city in the US! Really? Come on! Sorry, but I’m sore about this. We love David here!
